Very clean rooms with crisp bedding and black-out shades were quiet despite the nearby subway, which was just a 1-3 minute walk away on the N-W line to Manhattan. Friendly and helpful staff sorted an iron and ironing board, while the gym was operational and bathrooms had good lighting. The hotel was well insulated from outside noise, heated well, and located in Astoria close to a nice Greek restaurant with a bar.
